AppleMatters and MacZOT

No, there’s nothing related between the two sites other than the fact that they both relate to me today! It turns out that today is a big day for Stunt Software on the web. First, AppleMatters has posted a review of our software. Chris Howard did an excellent job writing it, you can tell that some thought went into the review, beyond just playing with the applications for 2 minutes. Thanks Chris!

Also, Overflow is being featured today on macZOT. To be honest I wasn’t sure at first whether putting Overflow on macZOT was a good idea or not, but the more I thought about it the more I realized that it’s another way to get the word out about Stunt Software, hopefully to a different audience than would have come across the site before. As a small developer my marketing budget is equally small, so I’m always looking for creative marketing ideas. I’m not a huge fan of “sales” as a marketing tactic (feels too much like I’m making suckers out of people who payed the regular price when really the prices have been set and decided on for a reason), but I’m making an exception for this. If you think it’s a good idea or a terrible idea, let me know!

    Hey man…
Thanks for doing the macZot thing. I check macZot daily. While I didn’t get Overflow (just not something I need) I did check out your site and I will probably purchase On The Job. Ås a freelancer, that app seems like it would be perfect. So, I just wanted to let you know that you are right, by doing macZot you at least introduced one new person to your software.

I found you guys thru MacZot - they seem to be pretty good at finding kick-ass apps. I would have never known about you if not for that site. Good on ya.

I use an alternative app launcher (bought several years ago), but after finding Overflow… man, my mind is defintiely not made up. I had some quibbles with the program launcher I ahve (too windows-like, the reason i initally preferred it), and yours is so much more elgant.

If it hadn’t been for MacZot, I never would’ve even known about your software, much less taken the time to come here and comment! I hope I get something of yours is in this bundle! (’cuz my personal funds are tight right now).
