The Apple Blog reviews On The Job

The people at The Apple Blog were nice enough to write a review of On The Job. Check it out!

Mail.app Tip-O-The-Day

Ever wish you could navigate between mailboxes in Mail using just the keyboard? Me too! The good news is, I just figured out how to do it - our good old friend Shift-Tab. With a message in the messages list select, just hit shift-tab, and bingo, you’ve managed to get your currently selected mailbox to now be selected with a lovely blue color. Now you can use the arrow keys to navigate around. Hitting Tab again will bring the focus back to the messages list. How it took me so long to discover this I will never know.

XTorrent

I’ve been playing with the public beta release of David Watanabe’s new application, XTorrent today and I have to say, I’m impressed. If you’re looking for a bittorrent application, I suggest you try it out. XTorrent lets you specify sites to search in an integrated web browser, and is smart enough to know when you’ve clicked on a torrent file, adding it to the downloads. Goodbye torrent files all over my desktop! I’ve had a few minor problems (downloads from the main search list not getting added to the download manager?), but that’s to be expected. For a public beta it seems very stable. From a development standpoint, it must have been nice to be able to take advantage of a lot of the UI code from Acquisition, another very well designed application.

Also, I think this application gets the award for the quickest adoption of new iTunes 7 interface elements!
