Overflow Icon
Well, so far the response the the newest version of Overflow has been great - thanks to everyone who has written to me with their comments, or posted reviews on their sites! The 2.0 release of Overflow also marks the first time I’ve released an application with an icon not designed by me (although I suppose it isn’t ALL that different from the version 1 icon). The credit for this one goes to Adam Betts. A few months ago Adam emailed me with his icon idea, and I liked it so much I copied it for this release. Thanks Adam!

Love the icon. Love the app.
I use it everyday.
Good on ya.

Love the icon, and the application is really growing on me. Simple, elegant design.
I’ve not been able to figure out how to get it to stay on screen when I want to launch multiple items, but other than that I’m impressed.
matthew: just hold down option while when you click on an item, the item will launch in the background and the Overflow window will stay visible.
Hey just started using this app after seeing it on a few websites (adam betts being one of them)…and its the perfect utility for my new macbook. however unlike the previous 2 people, im not that into the icon. well i found some forum about keeping applications out of the dock by adding NSUIElement = 1 to the info.plist…and i have used this on other programs and it works, but not on cleardock. any reason why?
There’s no reason that shouldn’t work. I understand that Tiger does some caching of the plist information, so it might take a few restarts to get the change recognized.
It’s a nice icon, but is there any chance you could provide alternative icons with the triangle pointing sideways? I use my dock on the side and having the icon show the window coming up from below looks a little weird. For now I’ve actually changed it to Clarus!
