Missing Post Summary

Well, it seems I haven’t been updating this nearly as much as I should, and I’ve missed a whole bunch of things. So here’s my summary post to sum up all the posts that I should have written, but never did.

Macworld Expo
This one definitely should have gotten a mention. Stunt Software had a small booth at Macworld Expo this year, in the Apple Developer Pavilion (check out a small interview on Apple’s Developer site). Overall the show was great, and exhausting. I got to talk to a bunch of users, which was really cool. I think my feet still hurt though.

iPhone
I don’t necessarily need one, but oh boy do I want one! I just hope it doesn’t take too long to get to Canada - and that the plans aren’t too much. I just won’t be able to justify spending $100/month on a cell phone plan. Looks like my big theories that Telus would sell the iPhone in Canada were wrong (I saw a sign outside of a Telus store promoting iPods last summer).

The only bad news about the iPhone is the lack of developer support. Not even widgets? I promise I wont take down Cingular’s network. Come on, please?

Also, did anyone else notice the hugely important interface change that seems to have happened since Macworld, as seen in the “Hello” commercial that aired during the Oscars?

That’s right! They’ve changed the word Cingular to at&t! Okay, so in reality this change was probably made for purely aesthetic reasons, I still feel it’s the responsibility of Mac users everywhere to post even the smallest bits of news.

MacHeist Controversy
Well, it turns out that nobody was really as upset about this as it might have seemed at first. Overall it brought a lot of attention to small Mac developers, which is certainly a good thing. I find UI discussion really interesting as well, so I think the whole “Delicious Generation” thing is great.

Wii
It seems that every Mac developer also has a Wii - and I’m no exception. Like most things in this post, you’ve probably already read about it elsewhere, and basically I agree. It’s fun. And I haven’t had a video game system since I had a Super Nintendo. My Wii number is 7417 9232 9234 3905 if anybody wants to add me (it’s still so lonely in my Mii Parade!).

That’s it for now! Now that I’m all caught up, I should be able to get some more timely posts done.
